Mitasys × Blue Star India · 4 August 2026
An AI assistant told a Blue Star leader that the company had not matched its competitors on the R32 transition or on controls. The claim is wrong. This page traces where it came from and sets out the fix.
Root cause
It found no first-party evidence that Blue Star VRF systems use R32, and filled the gap with what its sources do support about Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric.
In one line
The fact is true, unpublished where it counts, and contradicted by Blue Star's own brochure.
Evidence
Every VRF page was re-crawled on 4 August 2026, so this reflects the site as it stands today rather than an older snapshot.
Category page, VRF V Plus, VRF V S, VRF Lite, and the What is a VRF explainer. Five pages, roughly 2,500 words of product copy, and the refrigerant is never named. Re-checked 4 August 2026.
The VRF V S brochure specification table, linked for download from the product page. A first-party specification table carries more weight than website copy, and it says the opposite of the claim.
R32 for Blue Star VRF appears on distributor and marketplace pages. Enough for an assistant to answer yes to a direct question, not enough to carry a comparative judgement.
Sophisticated Controllers. Sophisticated controller options. Smart and advanced controls. No controller named, no protocol named, while competitors publish both.
Its Top Discharge page names BMS integration through Modbus. Its Side Discharge page names keycard, motion sensor, home automation, app, tenant billing and PC monitoring. That work only needs the refrigerant added alongside it.
Daikin's three-phase R32 VRV became available from January 2026. Mitsubishi Electric's R32 City Multi covers limited sizes. If Blue Star VRF is R32 across the range, Blue Star leads on this point.
Before anything publishes
Blue Star states that its VRF systems use R32. The published VRF V S brochure states R410A. Both cannot be current, so we need written confirmation of the refrigerant used in each VRF series before the claim goes live.
Our recommendation is not to defer the work. Everything is drafted and ready. But publishing website copy that contradicts Blue Star's own brochure would make the AI answer worse rather than better, because an assistant that finds two conflicting first-party sources will trust neither, and the contradiction itself becomes something it can cite.
Every deliverable marks the gated claims clearly, and the VRF V S documents carry alternative wording that is accurate whichever way the confirmation goes.
The fix
Assistants work mostly from what is readily available in a page's content, so the page copy carries real weight. But a contradiction between two Blue Star sources gives an assistant reason to trust neither, so the win comes from consistency across all four rather than from any single fix.
The VRF V S specification table, corrected, replaced or withdrawn so it agrees with the pages. Listed first because it is the only item that is not a content edit and so needs its own owner, not because it outranks the pages.
Five live pages and four on the new site, each with the current text and the recommended replacement side by side. Scoped to refrigerant and controls only, nothing else rewritten.
The R32 fact with the GWP arithmetic, the controls architecture at protocol level, and a tender guide targeting the comparison question where assistants currently answer for competitors.
Three articles under independent practitioner profiles, plus three posts on Blue Star's own channels once the website carries the same facts.
Measurement
Two prompts name Blue Star and its competitors, including the question the senior leader effectively asked. Tracking that exact wording is the only way to demonstrate the specific failure was corrected rather than that unrelated questions happened to move.
Three are non-branded, measuring whether Blue Star gets surfaced unprompted on refrigerant and on controls rather than only defended when named.
Today's answers are recorded before anything publishes. Without that baseline, an improved answer next month proves nothing, because there is no record of what it replaced.
What to expect
AI answers do not change on a publication date. They change as sources are re-crawled and re-weighted, over weeks rather than days. What this work does is remove the reason for the wrong answer.
An answer that stops claiming the R32 transition is incomplete, while still treating controls as a competitive area, is real progress rather than a partial failure.
Timeline
Items 1 and 2 gate items 3 to 7. If the refrigerant confirmation is delayed, the controls content can proceed on schedule independently, because none of it depends on the refrigerant question.
